Using AI

We are all using AI these days, which tailors knowledge and insight in ways we couldn't have imagined a few years ago.  Many people are using it now in therapy, but can AI do the work a trained therapist?  AI can be a valuable support in mental health because it provides help around the clock.  It is low cost and can be a great source of psychoeducation.  It does however have its limitations.  Evidence suggests it cannot replace human interaction, after all, we are social beings. AI may miss emotional cues, flatten the therapy experience, and not be able to replace the importance of dialogue between therapist and client, as insight is gained into behaviour and situations.  Evidence does however suggest it is good as a COMPLEMENT to therapy, adding insight and support between sessions, or providing therapists with tailor made information, exercises and ideas.   So, it is likely that human psychotherapy won't be replaced, but will become interwoven with AI insights that can help speak into specific areas that therapists can help guide clients through.
